BlackHack Society is proud to build alongside a network of partners who share our mission: a stronger, more open, and more inclusive security community for all.
Technologists of Color
Established in May 2012, Technologists of Color (ToC) is a 501(c)(3) and a passionate collection of professionals from the information technology arena, committed to building the African American tech community in Atlanta. Their programming centers on four pillars — connect, inform, teach, and mobilize — through meetups, happy hours, their "Coding While Black" collaboration sessions at The Russell Center, and a "Laptops for Techs" program that puts working machines in the hands of aspiring technologists. ToC shares our conviction that talent is everywhere but opportunity isn't, and we're proud to build alongside them.
The Diana Initiative
The Diana Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 82-2173128) committed to helping all those underrepresented in information security. Best known for its presence during DEF CON "Hacker Summer Camp" in Las Vegas, TDI runs scholarship programs, mentorship matching, resume reviews, and community events built around its values of inclusion, diversity, humanity, initiative, and respect. Their relentless focus on opening doors for the underrepresented mirrors everything BlackHack Society stands for.
Blacks In Technology — Atlanta
Blacks In Technology (BIT) is a global platform for Black people in technology, "Stomping the Divide" by establishing standards for world-class technical excellence and serving members through community, media, and mentorship. The Atlanta chapter is one of its most active — recently launching the "Just A Little BIT" podcast and consistently driving local mentorship and career-building. As a fellow Atlanta-rooted community closing the same gaps we work on every day, BIT Atlanta is a natural ally.
DC404 (DefCon Groups)
DC404 is Atlanta's premier monthly security event — the local DEF CON group — bringing together security professionals and hobbyist hackers alike for the latest in tools, topics, and techniques. Meetings are all-ages, all-skill-levels, with no dues, held hybrid at Manuel's Tavern and online, and frequently feature a NetKotH capture-the-flag game. DC404 embodies the open, welcoming, hands-on hacker culture that BlackHack Society is built to extend — nobody gets turned away, and everybody learns.
Goodie Nation
Founded by Joey Womack, Goodie Nation is an Atlanta-based nonprofit whose mission is closing the "Relationship Gap" in the innovation economy. They exist to eliminate the gap that stands in the way of success for too many promising entrepreneurs — especially people of color, women, and those outside coastal financial centers — by making the right connection at the right time and building relationships that lead to revenue, funding, and growth. Their belief that who you're connected to shapes what you can achieve resonates deeply with our mission to uplift talent that's too often overlooked.
OWASP Atlanta
OWASP Atlanta is the local chapter of the global Open Worldwide Application Security Project, focused on discussing, presenting, and addressing current web-based threats across traditional and non-traditional environments. OWASP itself is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to make software security visible so individuals and organizations can make informed decisions. Chapter meetings are free and open to anyone, with recent sessions covering AI in offensive security, the risks of AI-generated code, and hands-on secure-coding tournaments. For building application-security skills, OWASP Atlanta is essential, and we're proud to partner with them.
